What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Care Scheduler position at Compass Concierge and Companions?

Compass Concierge and Companions is looking for a highly organized, people-focused Scheduler/Assistant Manager to help keep our caregivers supported and our clients receiving consistent, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Coordination
- Manage daily schedules for caregivers and clients
- Handle call-outs and last-minute coverage needs
- Approve time-off requests and adjust schedules accordingly
- Send weekly schedules and updates to staff
- Coordinate orientations, trainings, and team meetings
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate employee and client records
- Track evaluations and required documentation
- Support day-to-day office operations
Caregiver & Client Support
- Communicate schedule changes clearly with caregivers, clients, and families
- Help ensure continuity of care for all clients
- Step in to problem-solve urgent staffing needs
On-Call Rotation
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support urgent scheduling needs
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in home care, senior care, or a similar scheduling role preferred
- Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable using scheduling software (Connecteam experience a plus)
- Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
- Able to provide hands-on client care if the need arises and travel to different client locations in Southern Maine
