What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full -Time Live-In Senior Caregiver/Driver position at COMPASS CARE LLC?
CompassCare is seeking an experienced, compassionate Live-In Senior Caregiver/Driver with a Minimum of 8-10 Years of One-On-One Elderly Care Experience to provide dedicated care for a female client based in New Canaan, CT. This is a long-term, Live-In position for someone who is patient, and highly skilled in dementia care.
The position involves providing personal care, companionship, and transportation support.
When the client is in Connecticut, the case will be shared between two caregivers. When the client travels to Florida, this position will become full-time, live-in coverage.

Schedule & Compensation:
- 3-4 days Live-in position (When client is in CT)
- 7-days full-time position (When client is in FL)
- Starting rate of $340 per day; overtime and holiday pay apply

Qualifications:
What Our Caregivers Do:
The care that we provide starts with a customized care plan that has been created to meet the specific needs of the client. Our caregivers build a strong relationship with the client to learn how to go above and beyond, providing care well beyond the care plan that has been provided.
Our caregivers work in partnership with the CompassCare Client Team and Office Staff to provide the best possible care for each client.
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the US
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience providing one-on-one to the elderly
- CNA or HHA Certification
- CPR Certification
- Extensive experience with Dementia care
- Comfortable with live-in assignments
- Willing and able to travel between CT and FL as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable around dogs
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized, one-on-one care and supervision
- Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meals, mobility, routines)
- Support cognitive engagement and maintain a structured daily schedule
- Safely drive the client to appointments and activities
- Travel with the client between Connecticut and Florida as needed
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment
- Be comfortable working in a home with dogs
