- Support food handling procedures, including slicing, chopping, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Contribute to food safety management by adhering to sanitation protocols and monitoring cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with team members during catering events or large meal preparations to ensure timely service
- Maintain accurate documentation of food inventory, safety checks, and meal records as required
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide with knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques
- Strong background in food service, restaurant operations, or the food industry with a focus on safety standards in production
- Skilled in culinary techniques including cooking, slicing, and meal preparation with excellent knife skills
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and handling procedures to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Experience in catering services or large-scale meal service environments demonstrating efficiency under pressure
- Ability to serve confidently while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety standards related to kitchen operations, including proper use of equipment and sanitation practices
