Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will plan and direct the accounting activities of True Home.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
· Manage the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- month and year end process; including preparing monthly financial statements
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- payroll
- utilities
- monthly bank reconciliations
- cash forecasting
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- capital assets reconciliations
- check runs
- fixed asset activity
- debt activity
· Completes preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
· Completes the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
· Works with CPA to file tax returns.
· Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for annual external audits.
· Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
· Process weekly Payroll.
· Ensure proper and timely Payroll deadlines for bank, taxes, and deposits.
· General office duties: Filing/scanning, answer phones (when needed), mail distribution.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient management and supervisory skills.
· Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in Quickbooks Desktop.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
· Payroll accounting skills.
· Knowledge of Service Titan.
Education and Experience:
· Certification in Accounting or Business Administration required.
· Three years or more of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
