Individual Marketing - Health Plan Consultant 176-1008

Job Summary

Responsible for promoting and enrolling eligible individuals in Medicare and Individual Health Plan products through outbound and inbound calls, individual appointments, community events, and educational seminars.

Key Responsibilities

• Explain plan products, benefits, premiums, and enrollment options to prospective and current members.
• Conduct outbound calls to prospective members and follow up on inquiries, appointments, and enrollment opportunities.
• Respond to inbound calls from prospective members; answer questions about plan benefits, eligibility, premiums, and enrollment.
• Engage with eligible beneficiaries in person through community events, scheduled appointments, and seminars.
• Maintain accurate member and prospect information in applicable databases and systems.
• Prepare and mail enrollment materials, product information, and enrollment packets.
• Monitor and apply current Medicare, federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and requirements to sales and enrollment activities.
• Perform other job-related duties as required and assigned.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a friendly, professional, and member-focused approach.
• Ability to explain plan information clearly, answer questions effectively, and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, data entry, and other standard computer systems.
• Ability to learn, interpret, and apply Medicare, Individual Health Plan, and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel locally for appointments, meetings, seminars, community events, and other business activities, as needed.
• Successful completion of Healthcare Sanctions Background check.
• Successful completion of motor vehicle record checks.
  
  

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in insurance sales, health insurance, customer service, call center operations, or a related field. Experience with Medicare, Individual Health Plans, or other regulated insurance products preferred.
• Current Oklahoma Life and Health Insurance license preferred; must be able to obtain licensure within 45 days of hire, if not currently licensed.
