This position is responsible for protecting the safety and soundness of mortgage closings for assigned clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time. Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach, or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
This position is expected to work in general office environment and may have to travel for visits to other credit union facilities or for training purposes.
Experience/Educational Requirements
3 years experience in Mortgage Lending, most of which is in closing.

This position is responsible for protecting the safety and soundness of mortgage closings for assigned clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate closing documents in a timely fashion for assigned clients.
- Review and approve closing disclosures.
- Request wire from credit union client with accuracy and in a timely fashion, if no funder
- Maintains an average of no less than 3 closing packages prepared per work day with minimal overtime.
- Prepare accurate funding’s daily to insure timely disbursements of loans, if no funder
- Review files that are in the ‘to closer” milestone for all pertinent documentation required
- Review closing conditions and clear as applicable
- Make follow up calls as needed to title companies on settlement statement deliver times.
- Give funding approval to title companies after receipt & review of funding documents
- Post closing, follow up on closing documents as needed for delivery on the secondary market, if requested by post closing.
- Always deliver the WOW factor in service to all customers, internal and external
- Promotes honest and open communication throughout the company.
- Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
- Work with other credit union departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.

- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to be bonded.
