What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Closer position at Community Title?
Community Title is one of the largest title insurance agents in the area with 10 offices in Illinois and 11 offices in Missouri. Our Highland branch is looking for a smart, dynamic and service oriented individual for the position of Escrow Closer.
As an escrow closer, you would be responsible for processing all documentation required for an insured closing and you would work with all parties to the transaction to execute the closing. These responsibilities include:
- Reviewing sales contracts, loan documents and lender closing instructions for needed requirements;
- Reviewing title examination for requirements needed to insure title;
- Obtaining payoffs from lenders, property owners, and other parties with liens or lien rights to the property;
- Develop relationships with realtors, lenders, and others involved in the real estate industry;
- Prepare documentation necessary to complete the closing transaction;
- Explain closing documentation to the parties and coordinate the closing process.
Title and/or lending experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a strong candidate that can demonstrate the following qualities:
- superior customer service skills;
- strong organizational skills;
- ability to multitask in a fast paced environment;
- fast learner and self-starter; and
- capable of performing detail oriented tasks.
