What are the responsibilities and job description for the Venango Early Head Start Home Visitor position at Community Services of Venango County, Inc?
Community Services of Venango County is hiring a full-time Home Visitor for our Early Head Start program in Venango County. Early Head Start is voluntary and home-based — there is no classroom or center. You will carry a caseload of families with infants, toddlers, and expectant mothers, and deliver weekly home visits using the Parents as Teachers curriculum.
What you'll do
- Deliver weekly 90 minute home visits to a caseload of 10-12 enrolled families
- Use the Parents as Teachers curriculum to support parent-child interaction, with the parent leading the activity
- Complete developmental and health screenings and track each child's progress
- Help families set goals and connect to community resources
- Plan and lead with peers monthly child-focused Family Interaction Time groups.
- Document visits, screenings, and home visit plans in the program's data system
- Attend monthly team meetings, case management, and reflective supervision
Requirements
- Associate degree in any related field
- Valid PA driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Ability to obtain PA child abuse, PA state police, and FBI clearances
Preferred
Coursework or work experiences in any of the following fields or degrees: child development, human services, early childhood, elementary, secondary, or adult education, social work, or child care, Home Based Child Development Associate (CDA). Experience working with infants and toddlers or adults is a plus.
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
