What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP) position at Community Service, Inc.?
Community Services, Inc is recruiting for a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider to support our staff in our Rogers/Springdale offices. is responsible for delivering direct services to clients in the out Patient Behavioral Health Program, according to program guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works under the clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional to provide services to youth in accordance with individualized treatment plans. Services may include Crisis Stabilization Intervention, Behavioral Assistance, Individual and Group Life Skills Development, and Child and Youth Support Services.
Ensures that primary therapist and treatment team are informed of client progress or lack of progress. Participates in clinical treatment team staffings.
Visits the home and the school according to the therapist’s direction, documenting progress with specific treatment goals, and provides supervision and safety to clients receiving services.
Advocates, when needed, for services and rights of clients receiving QBHP services.
Completes required QBHP training initially and yearly.
Advocates as appropriate for services and rights of clients regarding QBHP services.
Identifies, links, coordinates and collaborates with other service providers, whether existing or new; maintains a working relationship with referral sources and other treatment providers.
Provides education and skill-building interventions to assist clients in overcoming functional impairments and developing independent and daily living skills, as needed.
Completes documentation in the client’s confidential case file as required.
Maintains compliance with CSI HIPAA policies.
Engages in community outreach.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to plan, coordinate, and utilize good organizational and time management skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency supervisors, direct service providers, other employees, clients, parents/guardians, and other professionals. Knowledge of OBHS QBHP services. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to assess client/family needs and functioning, as well as to set goals, both short-term and long-term. Emotional maturity and ability to exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions; ability to present facts and recommendations. Knowledge of community resources.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work or related field, with a working knowledge of child and adolescent human behavior. Must be certified as a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider. Bilingual (English and Spanish) perferred.
