What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Inspire the Next Generation of Engineers position at Community Resources, Inc.?
Community Resources, Inc. provides educational opportunities to more than 100 schools and 70,000 students each year. To accomplish this, CRI calls upon the knowledge, energy and commitment of hundreds of volunteers from the community. CRI brings volunteers into classrooms to share information and expertise on hundreds of topics. CRI also creates family reading, math and science nights that bring students and their parents back to school to have fun learning together. The Academic Mentors program matches gifted students with professionals in the community in areas of career and curricular interest. Finally, CRI develops and conducts career fairs, science fairs, multi-cultural festivals and other customized special events for elementary, middle and high schools.

Community Resources' Academic Mentors Project
creates opportunities for high-achieving, ambitious 5th – 12th grade Denver Public School students who have a passion or interest in a particular topic to connect with community volunteers who share the same passion.
The program is currently recruiting a
mechanical engineer
to work with middle school student eager to learn more about a career in mechanical engineering. Volunteers are asked to commit a total of six hours over the course of 3 to 6 meetings. All mentorships begin and end in the current school year.
