Development Manager - Auxiliaries

Who We Are: Community Partners of Dallas (CPD) provides what abused and neglected children urgently need today to thrive tomorrow. This is accomplished by working closely with the dedicated caseworkers of Dallas County’s child welfare system. We are the first step towards healing for approximately 20,000 children annually and with a small staff of 18 we rely heavily on volunteers and donors to provide exceptional programming to the children, families and CPI/CPS/Empower caseworkers we serve.
About the Role: This exciting position will work with the Development Director, as well as the rest of the Development and Communications Team, to engage hundreds of CPD supporters through the agency’s three auxiliary groups. The Development Manager - Auxiliaries is expected to represent Community Partners of Dallas enthusiastically and positively as the liaison to auxiliary members, current, future and past, and impress upon them the importance of their role and the impact they have on the lives of children in our community.
Essential Job Functions: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Liaison to CPD’s three auxiliary supporter groups: the Partnership (women), yCPD (young professionals) and The Circle (supporters aged 50 )
- Execute annual membership drive for each auxiliary
- Recruit and support various volunteer leaders (board, committee, chairs) for each auxiliary including regular reporting and other communications
- Coordinate annual meetings, social events and on-site volunteer opportunities for auxiliary members, some falling outside of regular business hours
- Ensure timely and thoughtful donation acknowledgment and stewardship to members
Team Support and Collaboration: At Community Partners of Dallas we function as a team. With this comes an expectation that each employee will participate in both programmatic and fundraising initiatives that move our mission forward throughout the year. Planning, preparation and execution of these events and projects may fall outside of normal business hours and require employees to complete their responsibilities for the organization outside of normal business hours. Examples include but are not limited to Chick Lit Luncheon, Change is Good, NorthPark Pumpkin Patch, Gingerbread Stroll, four annual drives (Easter, Back-to-School, Coats and Toys), the Partnership, The Circle, yCPD, Grateful Table, Thrive Together, end of year donor stewardship and other activities as needed.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for 2-4 hours at a time and lift a minimum of 25lbs without assistance.
