FINANCE ACCOUNTANT
Community Missions of Niagara Frontier Inc., is a Not-for Profit org., looking to hire a Finance Accountant to join our growing Finance Department.
Candidate will support the daily accounting operations of the organization with the ability of handling a wide range of accounting tasks. Candidate must be a team player and well versed in accounting.
Not-for Profit and Expense Allocation experience a Plus. Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting, prepare financial reports, Support agency programs. Prepare monthly account reconciliations. monthly close, audit schedules and accounts receivables. Billing (Medicaid, Medicare Managed) a plus.
Maintain accounting financials records and reports. Assist with projects as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monthly reconciliation of program accounts and G/L accounts
- Quarterly Budget reporting
- Assist with posting of expense Allocations
- Program Billings for various programs
- Reconciliation and processing of intercompany accounts
- Monthly reconciliation of various trial balance accounts (prepaid assets, accrued liabilities)
- Assist Accounts Receivable with processing of resident accounts.
- Monthly close of G/L Accounts.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong positive communication needed with an emphasis on teamwork
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong computer skills with above average skills in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment
- Ability and interest to learn NYS Consolidated Fiscal Reports
- Assist with Niagara County Budget Reporting
- Various NYS financial reporting
- Program Billing to reimburse program expense
- Accounts Receivable monitoring to oversee resident accounts
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, prioritize and change gears as needed
- Ability to see the bigger picture and offer solutions to improve AR performance
- Must be organized and detailed oriented

Experience: 3-7 years accounting experience
Education: A Masters or Bachelors Degree in Accounting with experience working in accounting office also working in Not for Profit is a plus.
