Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Staff Development.
- Coordinate and schedule staff education sessions, orientations, in-services, and meetings.
- Maintain accurate training and certification records for all hospital employees.
- Track deadlines and expiration dates for staff competencies, licenses, and required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS).
- Coordinate the onboarding and placement of students who are shadowing or precepting within the hospital and ancillary clinics.
- Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and data analysis related to staff education.
- Liaise with department managers, HR, and external educators to ensure smooth coordination of learning activities.
- Assist with the management of the calendar for the Director of Staff Development, scheduling appointments and meetings as needed.
- Monitor inventory and order educational supplies and materials.
- Support special projects and initiatives related to hospital staff development.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries via email and phone, providing accurate information or directing concerns to the appropriate department or individual as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with hospital training programs, staff development practices, and compliance standards is a plus.
