Community Memorial Healthcare is looking for a PRN Sonographer who can step in to assist with Vascular, Echo, and general ultrasound scans. It would be ideal if the individual was available to work 1-2 days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform transthoracic echocardiography, including regular, contrast and Dobutamine types, as a separate procedure in conjunction with Cardiac Stress Testing procedures to aid in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease or abnormalities; select the appropriate transducers for the specific examination; select and store images for diagnosis by the cardiology staff; assist the cardiology staff with performing these testing procedures as required.
Responsible for performing 2-D and M-Mode echocardiograms with Doppler flow studies and Doppler color flow velocity mapping. Duties associated with this position include: positioning and transferring patients and providing for patient safety; selecting equipment for use in cardiac sonography; adjusting equipment controls; and preparing records of functional, anatomical and pathological data.
Certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (CDMS) credential. Preferred candidate would possess Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS); Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT); and Abdominal Sonographer.
CPR certified preferred.
Previous clinical experience preferred.
Skills: Computer knowledge of TruBridge is preferred, but not required.
