What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copy Of Branch Director position at Community Living?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
75% BRANCH
- Monitors program compliance with client medical and financial programs, Individual Instruction Support Plans, Quality Assurance, rules and regulations
- Monitor and assess the delivery of staff services hours
- Regional contact for the Division of Developmental Disabilities, as well as other state agencies
- Provide 24-hour emergency support
- Serve as official representative between the program and the community, county, city, DDA, other service providers and families of clients
- Ensure that all agency reporting requirements are completed accurately and submitted within established time frames
- Develop and maintain checklists/ticklers and/or other types of monitoring systems for all programmatic WAC, contract, DDA Policy Directives and agency personnel policies and procedure requirements
- Maintain frequent and open communication with various state agencies and other private agencies, as needed
- Establish and maintain a respectful, positive and cooperative working relationship with inter/intra agency personnel
- Effectively communicate information, concerns, requests, delegation of assignments, and expectations regarding client and employees, or services to the appropriate agency personnel in a timely manner
- Monitor client documentation including, but not limited to, Incident reporting, ETP’s, ETR’s, IISP, Client Goals and PBSP’s
- Hold weekly or bi-monthly meetings with branch personnel, and regular all-staff meetings, to provide support and to discuss current issues and/or concerns
- Conduct rate assessments (EOS) with DDA, as needed
- Ensure staff schedules are maintained and updated based upon hours received from DDA
- Meet new potential clients & hold transition meetings for new potential clients with DDA
- Monitor and assess the orientation and training of program personnel
- Visit and conduct onsite observations of client homes
- Facilitate client hospital discharges in coordination with PSCs and Client Medical Coordinators
- Conduct internal investigations, as needed
15% SUPERVISORY
- Supervise certain branch management personnel
- Screen and select qualified program personnel
- Instruct, support and monitor branch management personnel in the performance of their positions
- Intervene in methods, approaches, techniques and interactions of branch management personnel. where deemed necessary
- Provide ongoing support and feedback to branch management personnel to continually improve the level of care provided to clients.
- Ensure appropriate disciplinary action is taken and properly documented. when necessary
- Conduct performance evaluations for certain branch management personnel
- Monitor and process employee timesheets
10% OTHER
- Keep the Executive Director apprised of all beneficial and/or potentially detrimental situations affecting clients, employees, services, or compliance with regulatory documents or the program’s fiscal status
- Keep DCS apprised of any client related concerns
- Report, document, and act on all circumstances that suggest any health or safety risk to clients and/or employees
- Acquire and maintain working knowledge (expertise) on a consistent basis to ensure that all personnel and program policies, procedures, amendments and WACs are properly followed and/or met
- Ensure that the expectations of the Board of Directors expressed/identified in the Agency Philosophy Statement and Statement of Expected Performance Outcomes are met
- Ensure availability for employees, parents/guardians, clients, and agencies not limited to DDA/RCS/DSHS, for consultations, as requested
- Follow all established safety guidelines.
- Follow and document training and behavioral plans as directed by supervisor or consultant.
- Administer First Aid and CPR, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
