What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional Supervisor position at Community Living Care Inc.?
CLC’s residential program provides services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.
Direct Support Professional Site Supervisors are assigned to one of the 21 homes we operate throughout Westmoreland County. They are NOT responsible for scheduling. This is handled by another position within CLC.
This position is located at a home in Greensburg where we provide services to three ladies. In addition to having an intellectual disability, each lady has specific medical, emotion and physical support needs. The right candidate for this position would have at least two years of experience as a DSP with adults who need assistance with transfers, personal care and physical guidance. The specific hours required are as follows: Monday 1pm– 9pm, and Tuesday – Friday 9am-5pm. Full time 40hours. Overtime is available but not required.
Direct Support Professional Site Supervisors function as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with additional responsibilities to oversee the overall function of the home. In addition to the DSP responsibilities described below, the DSP Site Supervisor ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, completes weekly shopping for the home, coordinates and attends all needed medial appointments for the person in the home receiving services, completes additional company paperwork, oversees job performance of other DSPs who work at the site, participates in regular supervisor meetings with the Residential Director as well as the agency Safety Committee, and is an integral part of each person's served interdisciplinary team. Most hours worked the DSP Site Supervisor is acting in the same role as all DSPs and those responsiblities are as follows.
Direct Support Professionals support each person by:
- Ensuring Individual(s) take medication(s) on time, and in a safe manner!
- Providing assistance to Individual(s) to care for their home!
- Assisting Individual(s) with personal care!
- Providing ways for Individual(s) to participate in social activities!
Direct Support Professionals need to be capable of:
- Working independently!
- Cooking wholesome meals by following the provided menus based on the Individual(s) needs
Attention to Detail in aspects of the required job duties, but not limited too:
- Completing documentation accurately!
- Driving agency vehicles in a safe manner at any time!
- Thorough cleaning of the home / laundry of the Individual(s)!

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
