Your Role and Responsibilities

As an elementary teacher at CLA, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Inspire Young Minds: Create and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across content areas using high-quality curriculum resources like Into Reading, Eureka Math, and Core Knowledge
• Foster a Positive Environment: Build a classroom where every student feels safe, respected, and encouraged to thrive
• Guide Student Learning: Use real-time data and formative assessments to guide your instruction and provide targeted support for each learner
• Collaborate and Differentiate: Work with specialists to ensure every student’s needs are met through thoughtful differentiation and teamwork
• Reinforce School Culture: Promote a strong school culture with consistent routines, clear expectations, and positive reinforcement
• Engage Families: Maintain regular communication with families about student progress, behavior, and successes
• Grow Professionally: Be open to feedback and continuously improve through coaching and collaboration with your peers

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• One of the following in elementary education:
  • Colorado teaching license or endorsement
  • 36 credit hours in content
  • Passing score on approved Praxis exams
• For grades K–3 positions, 45 hours of Colorado READ Act training or passed PRAXIS 5205
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
