Your Role and Responsibilities
As an elementary teacher at CLA, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Inspire Young Minds: Create and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across content areas using high-quality curriculum resources like Into Reading, Eureka Math, and Core Knowledge
- Foster a Positive Environment: Build a classroom where every student feels safe, respected, and encouraged to thrive
- Guide Student Learning: Use real-time data and formative assessments to guide your instruction and provide targeted support for each learner
- Collaborate and Differentiate: Work with specialists to ensure every student’s needs are met through thoughtful differentiation and teamwork
- Reinforce School Culture: Promote a strong school culture with consistent routines, clear expectations, and positive reinforcement
- Engage Families: Maintain regular communication with families about student progress, behavior, and successes
- Grow Professionally: Be open to feedback and continuously improve through coaching and collaboration with your peers

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- One of the following in elementary education:
- Colorado teaching license or endorsement
- 36 credit hours in content
- Passing score on approved Praxis exams
- For grades K–3 positions, 45 hours of Colorado READ Act training or passed PRAXIS 5205
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
