What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Attendant (Laundromat) position at Community Laundromat?
Community Laundromat is looking for a dependable, bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English) Customer Service Attendant to join our team. You will be the main point of contact for customers during your shift, keep the store clean and assist with daily operations.
Requirements:
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Available to work the evening shift (4pm-9pm) Monday-Friday
- Occasional weekend or additional hours as needed
Job Responsibilities:
Customer Support
- Greet customers and assist with machine use, payment stations, retail purchases and general questions
- Serve as the link between customers and ownership—gather feedback and report any customer concerns
- Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and community events
- Provide assistance in both English and Spanish
Wash/Dry/Fold:
- Help promote and accept orders for our wash/dry/fold service
- Occasionally process orders - ensuring clothes are cleaned, dried, and folded with care and according to store standards
Store Cleanliness & Safety:
- Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming store environment
- Perform regular and deep cleaning tasks throughout your shift
- Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues to the owner
- Help ensure a safe environment inside and outside of the store
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish
- Friendly, dependable, and comfortable interacting with a diverse customer base
- Able to stay organized and work without constant supervision
- Prior experience in customer service or retail is a plus
- Comfortable doing physical tasks like standing, light lifting, and cleaning
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
