Duties
- Communicate and coordinate with parties involved in real estate transactions.
- Review and verify title documents, ensuring all information aligns with legal standards and property records
- Conduct comprehensive research using public records, GIS tools, and legal databases to confirm property histories and ownership details
- Prepare and process title reports, title commitments, and related legal documentation accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with title insurance companies, lenders, attorneys, and clients to facilitate seamless transactions
- Maintain detailed records of all title processing activities, including updates on property status and transaction progress
- Assist with resolving discrepancies or issues related to titles by conducting thorough investigations and research
- Support the law office’s customer service efforts by providing timely updates and clear communication to clients throughout the process
Experience
- Prior experience in real estate law or title processing within a law office or title company setting is highly preferred, but not required.
- Strong research skills utilizing public records, legal databases, and GIS technology to verify property details
- Knowledge of title insurance policies, legal terminology related to real estate transactions, and relevant laws governing property transfers
- Familiarity with law office procedures, document management systems, and compliance standards
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex information accurately under tight deadlines
