Job summary
Community Integrated Services is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their path to employment. In this role, you will help individuals with disabilities discover their career interests and support them at their job sites to help them achieve success at work. What you'll do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Provide individualized support and instruction to participants in all stages of their job placement. Work in conjunction with employers to design individualized training plans

Maintain a detailed record of on-site performance by completing daily case notes.

Help participants be successful in their place of employment in the community.

Develop community job leads for assigned individuals meeting their needs, desires, and capabilities.

Match applicants to jobs, refer qualified applicants to employers, and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in jobs.

Analyze and develop support strategies that may be used by the participant to do their job tasks. Emphasis on those most natural to the workplace.

Work directly with participants to conduct assessments

Consistently, provide written, verbal, and electronic communication to our participants, employers, families, funders, and other CIS team members.
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred

Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle

Ability to pass background checks and other pre-employment requirements

Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule and work environment

Full-time, 37.5 hours/week or 30 hours/week

Day / Evening/ Weekend shifts available

Work throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas

Work in the community

Pay: hourly rate beginning at $18.00
