Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Lexington, KY, for a Direct Support Professional. The role involves providing compassionate support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Daily tasks include assisting with personal care, promoting skill development, supporting community engagement, and providing behavioral support while ensuring the health, safety, and dignity of each individual.
Qualifications
- Experience in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills to build positive relationships
- Experience in Training or a willingness to learn and apply person-centered approaches
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to support individuals with diverse needs
- High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or training in relevant fields preferred
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all regulatory requirements
