Clary Sage College is currently accepting applications for a Cosmetology Master Instructor -
Evening hours; Monday-Thursday 12:00 pm to 10:45 pm
This is a permanent, full-time position.
Instruction & Student Development
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum and accreditation standards
- Prepare students for state board licensure and industry success
- Provide constructive, timely, and encouraging feedback on student performance and assignments
- Offer individualized and small-group support to strengthen skills and learning outcomes
- Provide tutoring and instructional assistance as needed
- Guide students through client consultations, service recommendations, and professional techniques
- Provide real-time coaching in a hands-on clinic environment, adapting to student skill levels
Student Engagement & Retention
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence in the cosmetology profession
- Monitor attendance, academic progress, and completion of learning activities
- Proactively communicate with and support students to promote retention and success
- Send welcome communications to students prior to course start
Clinic Operations & Customer Experience
- Supervise clinic floor operations to ensure service quality, technical accuracy, and professionalism
- Model and reinforce exceptional customer service, communication, and client retention practices
- Address and resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with Customer Relations to coordinate clinic schedules and optimize guest experience
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable safety requirements
- Adhere to policies of the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and accrediting bodies

- Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and best practices
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and transcripts in Canvas
- Monitor and manage classroom and clinic inventory; order supplies as needed
- Ensure classrooms, labs, and workstations are clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Identify and escalate issues related to curriculum, technology, or operations
Maintains a high performance environment
- Establish and support clear performance expectations aligned with student success, retention, and program outcomes
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with faculty and staff to achieve program goals
- Continuously improve instructional quality through feedback, training, and professional development
- Contribute to a positive, accountable, and results-oriented team environment

Minimum Requirements: Current Oklahoma Master Instructor License with a minimum of three recent years’ verifiable experience working as a cosmetologist required.
Qualifications: Instructors should have a natural talent for teaching and good interpersonal skills. A good instructor should be patient and understanding, take a hands on approach to ensure every student gets the required knowledge to succeed in the beauty industry. Must be accessible to students and faculty.
