Community Healthcare of Texas is currently recruiting for a Triage Team Assistant.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide administrative support to the Triage department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supports the role of the Triage RN by attending to non-medical phone calls consisting of DME needs, staff ETAs, and scheduling.
- Collaborates with the RN triage and call teams to assist with scheduling visits to field staff.
- Responds to DME needs by scheduling deliveries and pickups for all patients.
- Attends to inquiries received via fax, email, and phone.
- Communicates directly with individuals and families to provide information about eligibility requirements, application details, payment methods, and applicants' legal rights during intake assessment.
- Provide effective communication to patients, staff members, other health care professionals, and referral sources.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma required (Some college preferred)
- 1 year experience in a clerical setting
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Typing and PC skills required
