Community Healthcare of Texas is currently recruiting for a Triage Nurse (PRN).
POSITION SUMMARY
The Triage Nurse responds to all after-hours and weekend calls from all sites, prioritizes calls, and assigns crisis visits to on-call staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responds to all calls, inquiries, pages from patients/families in a timely manner
- Discerns needs, advises, and prioritizes the need to assign on-call staff
- Remains calm under pressure with a customer service demeanor
- Follows up on requests
- Provides a complete report on all activities at each site following each triage day
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- 1 year of nursing experience required
- Hospice/Home Health experience strongly preferred
- Must have proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite experience
Work Schedule
After hours 5:00pm - 8:00am and weekends 5:00pm to 8:00am / 8:00am to 5:00pm
