We are currently seeking a Full-time Medical Technologist to join our team as we expand our clinics to offer accessible care in our communities. Shift hours will be 10:30AM-7PM.
- Performs all responsibilities and duties of Medical Technologist. Provides laboratory services (laboratory testing and procedures), under the direct supervision of Laboratory Manager; includes functioning in the laboratory in accordance with CHC and CLIA laboratory standards and requirements. Assists the Laboratory Manager with operating the laboratory.
- In addition to Medical Technologist responsibilities, the Point of Care Coordinator serves as the primary contact and responsible staff member for point of care testing, training, and compliance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
- Two years’ experience in related field required. Laboratory experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures, standards and tests.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interact with other clinical staff.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergencies.
- Skill in phlebotomy.
- Experience in, or ability to learn laboratory related computer system applications.
- Skill in collecting laboratory data.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Knowledge of quality control, calibration, quality assurance.
- Knowledge of safety requirements, recognize, prevent and/or correct hazardous conditions.
Licensure, Certification or Other Requirements:
- MLS or MLT certification strongly preferred.
- Vermont driver’s license and vehicle.
- BLS Certification Required.
