What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER OF LUBBOCK INC?
The Dental Assistant works energetically to improve and secure CHCL as the medical and dental home for our clients. Under the general supervision of a Dental Director and the Site Manager, the Dental Assistant provides chair side assistance and support for the Dentist; performs such procedures as x-rays and sterilization of dental instruments; and provides dental education, especially to children and their parents or caregivers.
Qualifications:Education: High School graduation or GED equivalent.
Licensure: Texas RDA Certificate.
Experience:
- One year experience as a chair side assistant preferred.
- One year experience in ordering and maintaining supplies preferred.
- New Dental Assistants are welcomed to apply.
Expertise:
- Extensive radiology experience or a Radiology Certificate from the State of Texas.
- Must be qualified in BLS techniques.
Language: English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Travel: Employees may be required to travel for continuing education or testing purposes, health fairs, and off-site clinics.
Hours of Work: 8am-5pm with some weekend/evening work.
