As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the organization. You will collaborate with team members and end-users to ensure seamless operation of technology and optimal use of IT resources.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance and support for inquires and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware and networking.
- Implements and maintains IT support ticketing system, effectively prioritizes ticket urgency and responds to tickets timely.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems with hardware, software and network connectivity issues. Escalate complex issues to vendors as needed.
- Manage and monitor local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs. Ensure network security and optimize network performance.
- Implement data backup and recovery procedures to protect organizational data and ensure business continuity in case of system failure or disasters.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures and best practices. Monitor systems of security breaches and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
- Maintains IT continuity and disaster recovery plan and related IT policies.
- Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, installations and migrations.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT specialist or in a similar IT support role.
- Experience with operating systems (Windows, etc.), office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google, etc.) and endpoint management tools.
- Solid knowledge of computer systems, networks and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies.
- Reliable transportation.
