Commercial Grounds Maintenance Company | Hybrid Remote
Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-based environment? Our established commercial grounds maintenance company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist.
We provide professional landscaping and grounds maintenance services to commercial properties, HOAs, and industrial clients. Accuracy, efficiency, and strong vendor and client relationships are key to our continued success.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes, ensuring timely billing, collections, and vendor payments while maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Generate and distribute client invoices accurately and on schedule
- Handle customer inquiries regarding their invoices
- Manage monthly statement distribution
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and verify accuracy
- Generate accurate purchase orders
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
- Maintain vendor files and respond to inquiries
General Accounting Support
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Support reporting as needed
- Collaborate with operations and management teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AR/AP or full-cycle bookkeeping
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or service-based industries preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience using Aspire, the standard in commercial grounds maintenance services software. Individuals familiar with this software will be given priority consideration.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
What We Offer
- Hybrid remote schedule (combination of remote and in-office work). Must be in reasonable proximity to one of our branch offices in Loveland, Dayton or Centerville, Ohio.
- Competitive salary based on experience. Salary range is $45K to $55K yearly.
