Senior Living Activities Driver

Come join Community First as a Senior Living Activities Driver with our Beavercreek Facility (The Patterson)!

The Activities Driver works as a part of the lifestyle team. The Patterson provides transportation services including the transportation of residents to appointments and for errands and activities when needed. This position works in collaboration with concierge and Director of Lifestyles and are expected to work as part of the team to confirm appropriate transportation coverage. In addition, our driver works to ensure our residents receive door to door transportation services to enhance their ability to travel to and from appointments, and scheduled activities. The Activities Driver will also support the lifestyle team with other community activities, as the driving schedule allows.

Schedule: This position is 32 hours per week.

Location: The Patterson- 4175 Indian Ripple Rd, Dayton, OH 45440

Pay: $14 to $17 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Assist clients on and off the vehicle, including proper wheelchair securement.
• Transport residents to group outings, medical appointments, grocery trips, and other scheduled activities. Follow daily route schedules, maintain communication with the appointment coordinator, and accurately document services provided
• Ensure all transportation meets regulatory requirements, report service issues, and complete daily vehicle checks.
• Support community engagement activities assigned by the Director of Resident Lifestyle and report any unusual resident behavior to nursing staff or the Director.
• Attend required meetings and trainings, maintain a flexible schedule as needed, and demonstrate the company’s Always Behaviors. Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Licenses or other required certifications: Must maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and a good driving record to meet standards of our company’s insurance provider.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of licensed driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and have reliable transportation.
• Must understand and be able to access email, use a GPS device, electronic tablets and learn new technology as it relates to the job.
