As an Assistant Head Teller, you will work closely with the Head Teller to provide support on the Teller line by troubleshooting questions, giving guidance, and ensuring operational soundness, while providing a WOW experience to our members. - Provide exceptional, WOW service to internal and external members
- Typical Teller duties including cashing checks for members, accepting loan and credit card payments, placing proper holds on deposited items for uncollected funds in accordance with CFCU policy and procedure
- Identify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses for the member and the credit union
- Ensure supply of money for branch needs are adequate based on legal requirements and business demand. Ensure excess cash is not kept in the branch
- Accurately balance and close cash drawer at the end of each business day, along with assisting staff with balancing cash drawers and posting errors
- Balance the ATM/CDM/recycler, general ledgers, and vault daily
- Provide guidance and training to Tellers on operating procedures, monitor regulatory and compliance change.
- We are open in the driveup from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and open in the lobby from 8:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and from 8:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. On Saturdays, we are open in both the lobby and the driveup from 8 a.m. until noon. The schedule for this position encompasses our hours of operation, including a rotating Saturday morning.
- Three years’ relevant experience; prior teller and supervisory experience is preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft office suite and web-based software packages
