Job Summary
The Youth Development Leader supports the Site Supervisor and Assistant Site Supervisor in ensuring the successful daily operation of high-quality, licensed before- and after-school programming at all Community Education sites. This role fosters a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive while maintaining compliance with state childcare regulations..
Duties
- monitor and supervise children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios as required by state licensing regulations.
- Implement positive behavior reinforcement strategies and follow established behavior management guidelines.
- Lead, assist, and participate in activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Encourage and motivate students to participate enthusiastically in all programs, field trips, and special events.
- Follow all program policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations for before- and after-school care.
- Complete required annual training hours in accordance with child care licensing requirements.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and professionalism.
