Community Education Summer Track & Field Coach

About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Instructing/coaching students in:

• Event-Specific Training:

  • Coach athletes in one or more specific event groups: sprints, middle-distance, long-distance, hurdles, relays, jumps, or throws.

  • Teach proper form, mechanics, and technique tailored to each discipline.

• Practice Planning & Execution:

  • Design structured, progressive training sessions that develop speed, endurance, strength, and technical skills.

  • Incorporate dynamic warm-ups, event-specific drills, conditioning, and cool-downs.

Start Date: July 7th
Contract: Seasonal
Schedule: Mondays 6 pm to 8 pm

FTE: 0.05 FTE (2 hours per week)

Salary & Benefits

Starting Rate: $25.00-$27.00 per hour, depending upon your experience with Community Ed

No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience in instructing/coaching Track and Field

Salary : $25 - $27
