Community Connections Inc. is seeking a Director of Community Advancement and Philanthropy to join our leadership team! This dynamic role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who is passionate about advancing mission-driven work through fundraising, storytelling, and community engagement.
Based in Fall River, MA, this position plays a key role in shaping and executing our fundraising and community advancement strategy to support long-term organizational growth and impact.
What You’ll Do as Director of Community Advancement and Philanthropy:
- Lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising and community advancement strategy
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders
- Drive growth in individual, major, corporate, and institutional giving
- Oversee events, campaigns, and community engagement initiatives
- Guide communications strategy, including storytelling, appeals, and digital engagement
- Partner with the CEO and Board on donor strategy and organizational sustainability
- Lead, mentor, and grow the development team
- Oversee CRM systems, reporting, and fundraising performance metrics
What You’ll Need as Director of Community Advancement and Philanthropy:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (may substitute for some experience)
- 5–7 years of experience in fundraising, development, or public service
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a nonprofit setting
- Experience with donor relations, grants, events, and development operations
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making
- Passion for mission-driven work; human services experience a plus
