Job Summary

The Lead Access and Solutions Administrator play a key role in supporting secure, compliant, and efficient access to institutional systems and data. This position is responsible for coordinating identity and access management (IAM), data governance practices, and integration solutions across enterprise platforms, including ERP systems such as Workday and Ellucian Banner.

The Lead Access and Solutions Administrator serves as a crucial member of the Architect Bridge taking strategic direction from the Office of the Executive Director on crucial access and solutions initiatives. Partners closely with Information Security, CRM Systems, business, and functional stakeholders to manage lifecycle access controls, ensure compliance, and maintain the integrity and availability of enterprise data systems. The role also includes cross-team solution coordination and integration planning, particularly for authentication services and role-based access workflows. This position provides technical oversight of the colleges' integrated DevOps solutions (i.e. State Workday integration).

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support institutional security initiatives by coordinating IAM (Identity Access Management) across E the entire IT portfolio ensuring accurate user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access role assignments across the entire IT portfolio.
  • Lead and work with assigned staff, contractors, to implement and document secure data flows across systems, particularly with state ERP integration (Workday) and the College ERP system (Ellucian Banner).
  • Provide oversight of integrated DevOps solutions, with a focus on enterprise platforms such as the State ERP (Workday), College ERP (Ellucian Banner), Microsoft ecosystem integration, and related systems.
  • Serve on the architectural bridge, translating strategic direction from the Office of the Executive Director into actionable DevOps solutions, to implement, improve, or replace identity and access solutions across the entire IT portfolio.
  • Manage and support enterprise authentication systems including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and directory services.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining data governance policies in alignment with FERPA, GDPR, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Review and maintain audit logs and access reports; support periodic access reviews for compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT security, applications, and infrastructure teams to enforce access policies and implement technical controls.
  • Manage data access request workflows, approval routing, and documentation tracking.
  • Partner with systems teams to integrate identity solutions with heterogeneous cloud and on-prem enterprise applications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for access- and identity-related technical coordination and incident support.
  • Provide training and consultation to IT and campus partners on access management and security best practices.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies and standards related to identity, access control, and data governance.
  • Support cross-functional projects to improve user experience, streamline workflows, and reduce access-related risks.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IAM, enterprise systems, access management, data governance, or related technical areas.
  • Hands-on experience with identity management platforms i.e., CAS, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and related management and automation tools
  • Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC), ABAC, SSO, and MFA (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator) implementations.
  • Working knowledge of data security standards, compliance frameworks (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR), and audit requirements.
  • Proficiency in automation and reporting of identity and access management processes
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Relevant IT Certifications from Microsoft, ISC2, ISACA, Identity Management Institute, CompTIA, Ellucian, or Workday
  • Experience with higher education systems, especially ERP systems such as Ellucian Banner or Workday, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, EntraID.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, hybrid identity solutions, and data integration workflows.
  • Experience in coordinating enterprise-level solution deployments or middleware integrations.
