| CCBC, a regional leader in Online Education, is looking for highly motivated designers to assist with the expansion of Online Learning. The Instructional Designer will report to the Director, Instructional Design and Online Learning and assist faculty members in designing and creating high quality, accessible online courses in accordance with the instructional and teaching policies of CCBC. |
Experience working with a learning management system in higher education (Blackboard Learn, D21 Brightspace, Instructure Canvas) required. Experience in quality assurance of online courses (Quality Matters, OLC, ETC.), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and Copyright rules preferred. Experience using content authoring software (such as CourseARC, SoftChalk, Articulate 360, Captivate) and multimedia software (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia) preferred.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

- Provide assistance to CCBC faculty in the application of instructional design and instructional technology.
- Design and develop courses applying current instructional design principles.
- Conduct training workshops.
- Remain current on instructional technology/design research.
- Provide periodic reports on course development projects.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of online learning courses and programs.
- Assist and support the Department of Online Learning in the design and development of online courses.
- Conduct training for faculty to meet instructional design and development learning opportunities and needs.
- Conducts Quality Assurance reviews.
- Creates interactive and engaging course content.
- Provides training and assistance to faculty on copyright rules
- Provides training and assistance to faculty on the most current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Salary : $62,733 - $103,689
