School Driver - Part Time

We are a Manchester-based school dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for our students. We are seeking a reliable and responsible Part-Time Driver to join our team and ensure students are transported safely to and from school.

Position Summary

The Part-Time School Driver will be responsible for transporting students between home and school each morning and afternoon, following designated routes and schedules. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and enjoys working with children. There will also be a monitor and no more than 8 children picked up all located in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school according to established routes and schedules
• Maintain a punctual and reliable schedule, Monday–Friday (mornings and afternoons)
• Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
• Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a V endorsement (required) or willing to be trained.
• Clean driving record
• Prior experience driving professionally (school, childcare, or transportation setting) preferred
• Reliable, responsible, and safety-focused
• Ability to interact respectfully and patiently with children and families
• Must pass background check and required screenings
  
  

Schedule & Hours

• Monday through Friday, mornings and afternoons (split shift schedule). Flexibility can be considered.
