What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development (part time) position at Korean School of Greater Hartford?
Korean School of Greater Hartford, a 501c- 3 nonprofit educational institute, is hiring a part-time Director of Development (Three hours per week). This is mostly remote position except 1-2 fundraising event(s) per year.
Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising: Formulating and executing of fundraising campaigns.
2. Public Relations: Being part of the public relations team and engaging with the public and making contacts in the community.
3. Marketing: Managing the organization’s website and social media to support communication, and outreach.
4. Writing for grants: Research and proposal writing for grants. Additional incentives are available upon securing grant funding.
Qualifications:
-A bachelor’s or higher degrees in marketing, business, nonprofit administration, or public administration.
-Over 3 years of fundraising experiences (preferred)
-Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal, organizational and marketing skills
-Ability to raise funds, write grant proposals and plan events.
-Korean-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
-Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time and hourly position (3 hours per week). The director of development may work from home. The director should be available for 1-2 fundraising event(s) per year on Saturdays during the school hours (9:00 AM-Noon) and attend board meetings(four times per year). The Director of the Development will report to the board.
