Speech and Language Services
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication skills using standardized assessments and informal measures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified needs.
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services, 5 days per week, in alignment with IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and related service providers to integrate speech and language goals into classroom settings.
- Conduct evaluations and screenings for referred students as needed.
- Serve as case manager for a caseload of students with IEPs.
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings, ensuring parental participation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications based on student progress.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations related to special education services.
- Provide guidance and resources to teachers and families to support student communication needs.
- Participate actively in Child Study Team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain strong, ongoing communication with families, including quarterly progress reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation, therapy logs, and service records in accordance with school, state, and federal guidelines.
- Complete and submit all required reports and data collection in a timely manner.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist Certification and/or Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility).
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and speech-language pathology.
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies.
