We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve as a Behavioral Case Management Supervisor within our New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) program.
This leadership role oversees participants with behavioral support needs, provides clinical and behavioral guidance to Case Managers and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and helps develop behavioral strategies that promote participant stability, independence, and quality of life.
Position Overview: Behavioral Case Management Supervisor / BCBA
As the Behavioral Case Management Supervisor, you will provide behavioral oversight and clinical leadership for participants receiving behavioral support services within the DDD program. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, clinicians, and support staff to ensure high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with DDD, Medicaid, HIPAA, and agency standards.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and organized professional with strong clinical assessment skills, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of behavioral support services within the New Jersey DDD system.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral oversight and supervision for participants requiring behavioral support services within the DDD program
- Conduct behavioral assessments and evaluate participants for behavioral interventions, supports, and strategies
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavior support plans in accordance with NJ DDD regulations and best practices
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to behavioral case managers, RBTs, and direct support staff
- Collaborate with Support Coordinators, families, guardians, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Assist Case Managers with crisis intervention strategies, de-escalation planning, and participant stabilization efforts
- Review participant documentation to ensure behavioral interventions and progress notes meet compliance standards
- Monitor behavioral caseloads and identify participants who may require additional services or clinical recommendations
- Participate in participant meetings, ISP meetings, case conferences, and agency trainings as required
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Medicaid, DDD, HIPAA, and agency compliance requirements
- Provide staff education and training related to behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and behavioral management techniques
- Support the growth and development of in-house behavioral programming and clinical initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency standards and state regulations
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working within the New Jersey DDD system preferred
- Experience supervising staff and/or behavioral programming strongly preferred
- Knowledge of NJ DDD regulations, ISP processes, and behavioral support services
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams and community providers
- Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel between office locations and participant sites as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and use a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to respond appropriately during behavioral or crisis situations
