| Monitoring and Security Specialist (Full Time) |
| |
| POSITION SUMMARY: |
| |
| Ensure and monitor general safety of building and property. Do |
| routine rounds of facility and monitor for safety concerns. Practice |
| de-escalation and conflict resolution amongst clients. Be able to |
| conduct appropriate outreach to any safety resources and emergency |
| services. |
| |
| EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED: |
| |
| - High school diploma or equivalency. Experience in relate field |
| preferred. |
| - Candidate should have strong de-escalation and crisis |
| intervention skills |
| |
| - Bilingualism/multilingualism individuals encouraged to apply |
| |
| RESPONSIBILITIES: |
| |
| - Patrol and monitor the premises to discourage illegal activity, |
| reporting activities witnessed to the proper personnel and/or |
| authorities. |
| - Assisting supervisor of the day with conflict (clients, Visitors |
| etc.) |
| - Enforcing parking and smoking policies |
| - Escorting employees to their vehicles when necessary |
| - Review or monitor surveillance cameras or previous camera footage |
| and report as required |
| - Report to management team on any incidents that have occurred |
| throughout the day, assisting with completing incident reports |
| when necessary |
| - Use provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a |
| clear and concise manner |
| - Attend staffings as needed to ensure up to date information on |
| any possible safety issues that arise |
| - Network with security counterparts at adjacent organizations |
| (Bank of America, Thundermist) to relay and share information as |
| needed |
| - Participate in safety meetings and maintain copy building safety |
| binder |
