Job Summary
We are seeking an adaptable, driven Lead Installer with an Electrical/Electronic background to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will lead on-site installations of security systems, low-voltage electronics, and electrical components.
Our primary niche is servicing, installing, and securing banks and ATMs. Because we support financial institutions, we work in highly secure, fast-paced environments across a variety of locations. While we do provide comprehensive on-the-job training for our specific systems, we need someone who already possesses a solid foundation in electronics, a strong work ethic, and the leadership skills to guide installation projects to success.
Core Responsibilities
- Specialized Financial Security Work:Install, service, and program security equipment specifically for bank branches and ATMs, including CCTV systems, DVRs, and alarm panels.
- Installation & Programming:Configure and troubleshoot complex low-voltage electronics on-site.
- Leadership & Coaching:Lead small installation teams, ensuring safety, strict quality control, andtimelyproject completion. Remain open to coaching and ongoing technical training.
- Travel & Schedule Flexibility: Adapt to a demanding schedule that includes late hours (often required for low-disruption bank servicing) and frequent travel to various financial institutions.
- Client Interaction:Represent the company professionally on-site, adhering to strict security protocols and ensuring high client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Experience:3 to 5 years of experience in electrical work, low-voltage electronics, or the security/alarm industry.
- Technical Familiarity:Hands-on experience with electronic systems, security equipment, alarms, or CCTV.
- Leadership Potential:Proven ability to lead projects, guide others, and communicate effectively, paired with a coachable attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Adaptability:Ability to quickly learn new technologies and comfortably work in high-security environments like financial institutions.
- Availability:Must be willing and able to work late hours and accommodate a heavy travel schedule.
Preferred:
- Direct experience programming DVRs and security systems.
- Prior experience servicing ATMs, physical security assets, or commercial banking environments.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Lifting & Carrying:Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50–75 lbs. individually (such as heavy security equipment, DVRs, or ATM components), andassistwith heavier loads using a dolly or team lift.
- Mobility:Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling in tight spaces (e.g., under desks, inside server closets, or within ATM surrounds), and climbing ladders/scaffolding.
- Standing & Dexterity:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Strong fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate wires, small hand tools, and electronic components.
