We’re looking for a high-level, visionary Creative Director to lead all things content—spanning short-form social, long-form storytelling, and high-volume video editing.
Position Overview
The Creative Director will be responsible for launching and running our new company Instagram account, managing Lucy’s (CEO) personal brand across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, and spearheading the rollout of long-form channels including YouTube and podcast. You’ll also handle editing for VSLs, client case studies, testimonials, and ads—ensuring our creative is both high-performing and visually stunning.
This hybrid role is based in Miami, FL, with flexibility to work from home most of the time. In-person collaboration with Lucy (our founder) will be required to capture content in different settings (home, events, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Leadership: Develop and execute the creative strategy for all content across Lucy’s personal brand (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and the Community Building Collective’s company Instagram. Oversee consistent output, creative direction, and brand alignment across all platforms.
- Content Production: Capture, direct, and produce cinematic-quality short- and long-form video content that is both emotionally resonant and performance-driven. Ensure excellence in lighting, audio, framing, and storytelling.
- Long-Form Expansion: Lead the launch and creative vision for long-form channels including YouTube and the company podcast. Oversee scripting, editing, publishing, and ongoing optimization for audience growth and engagement.
- Performance & Campaign Content: Produce and edit high-impact long-form videos such as VSLs, case studies, and testimonials for use across landing pages—alongside short-form ad creatives optimized for paid campaigns.
- Creative Direction: Concept and pitch innovative content ideas, identify emerging trends, and guide the overall creative direction to ensure all storytelling reflects brand tone, emotion, and positioning.
- Systems & Workflow: Build and manage scalable creative processes for capturing, editing, publishing, and analyzing content performance—ensuring consistent output at scale.
- Data & Performance Analysis: Track and interpret performance metrics to inform creative decisions, improve effectiveness, and drive measurable growth in engagement and lead flow.
Skills & Qualifications
- Video Production Expertise: Deep understanding of front-end production—lighting, audio, composition, framing, and on-set direction. Ability to deliver polished, professional visuals with a cinematic standard of quality.
- Advanced Video Editing: Mastery of editing software and creative post-production (color grading, motion graphics, text overlays, and sound design). Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume content production while maintaining premium quality.
- Cinematic Eye: Exceptional visual storytelling ability with strong instincts for composition, pacing, and emotional resonance.
- Social Media Mastery: Proven track record of driving growth and engagement on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube through data-informed creative strategy.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to connect brand goals to creative execution—balancing storytelling, marketing psychology, and performance outcomes.
- Project Leadership: Highly organized and experienced in managing multiple content streams, creative resources, and tight production timelines.
- Creative Agility: Skilled at identifying and adapting trends without compromising brand integrity. Comfortable iterating quickly based on data and feedback.
- Collaborative Partner: Adept at working closely with a founder/CEO and cross-functional teams to translate vision into executable creative assets.

Job Type: Full-time freelance
Salary: $72,000 - $96,000
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed (with a minimum of every other Sunday on a bi-weekly basis for 4 hours)
