Part-Time Lead Teacher
Community Builders Childcare – Appleton, WI
Community Builders Childcare is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Lead Teacher to join our growing Appleton team!
Our goal is to create a childcare center where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn — while also creating a positive workplace where teachers feel valued and supported.
About the Position
As a Part-Time Lead Teacher, you will help lead the classroom and provide high-quality care in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. You’ll work closely with other teachers and center leadership to keep the classroom running smoothly while building strong relationships with the children and families in your care.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, learning experiences, and play
- Maintain classroom routines and daily schedules
- Supervise children and maintain required teacher-to-child ratios
- Communicate with families about their child's day, development, and needs
- Complete daily classroom documentation and parent updates
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements and center policies
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and center leadership
- Help guide and support assistant teachers and classroom staff
- Build positive, meaningful relationships with every child in your care
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, school, or similar setting preferred
- Lead Teacher qualifications or willingness to complete required Wisconsin childcare coursework
- Must be able to pass required background checks
- Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Patient, caring, and comfortable taking leadership within the classroom
Schedule
This is a part-time position at our Appleton childcare center. Exact hours can be discussed based on the needs of the center and the candidate's availability.
