Child Care Assistant Teacher

Community Builders Childcare is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our team! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to help create a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Supervise children and maintain required teacher-to-child ratios
• Engage children through play, art, music, reading, and age-appropriate learning activities
• Help with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
• Communicate positively and professionally with families and coworkers
• Document meals, naps, diaper changes, and activities in our childcare app
• Follow all center policies and Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
• Complete required training and continuing education
• Provide support in other classrooms when needed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required
• Must be dependable, patient, and comfortable working as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be willing to complete required childcare training
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but can be completed after hiring
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and participate in activities on the floor

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
