Brain Injury Clubhouse Unit Coordinator

At The Denbigh House and Community Brain Injury Services we serve individuals that have sustained a life altering brain injury. We work with individuals to regain independence, rebuild self-confidence, fully re-engage in their community, and recover the work skills and behaviors needed to return to competitive employment.

The Position:

The Denbigh House is seeking a Unit Coordinator responsible for coordinating daily work and program activities at the Clubhouse, helping program members develop coping strategies for cognitive, sensory, physical and/or emotional disability, providing case management services, and assisting members in achieving their goals and aspirations. Tasks within the work unit contribute to the Clubhouse, but also offer program members the opportunity to develop and practice everything from independent living skills to social skills to work skills. Unit Coordinators manage a caseload and provide service planning to members within the Clubhouse.

The Unit Coordinator position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a human-services related field, such as Social Work, Psychology, or Rehab Counseling. Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to work as a part of a team, facilitate group and individual activities within the work Unit and in the community, and develop creative and person-centered service plans with individuals. Prior experience working with people with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Business hours are generally between 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday, but evening hours may be required once per month for recreational programming.

The starting salary for this position is $43,000/annually. After the completion of a successful 90 day probationary period, the salary for the position raises to $45,500/annually.
