Position Overview: 

The Project Manager is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing of assigned projects in alignment with CBH priorities and strategic planning processes.  

Essential Functions

  • Manage assigned projects from initiation to closure.
  • Be accountable for project results along with project sponsor.
  • Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solve and resolve issues throughout project life cycle.
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved by project sponsor.
  • Determine if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete project plan.  If required, recruit and manage appropriate staffing resources.
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to the project sponsor and leadership team.
  • Proactively lead, coach, and motivate project team members. 
  • Determine how project outcomes will be measured. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Education: Master’s degree or Bachelor's degree and 4 years relevant experience. 
  • License/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or willing to obtain certification within 3 years of hire; PA Child Abuse Clearance required
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in behavioral health or managed care. Project Management experience preferred.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
