What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Migrant Head Start Family Engagement Specialist position at Community Action Council?
Job Function Statement: (overall job purpose and benefit to the operation)
The Family Engagement Specialist manages a variety of projects that are designed to implement an integrated multifaceted fatherhood/male and community involvement service delivery system which will be a model of excellence across all service territories. This position will work with the family engagement implementation team to provide a coordinated approach for family engagement, community involvement, and development. This position will provide encouragement to family services staff and families to ensure two generational approach to learning and strengthening parent-child relationship building opportunities.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in human services field or similar field is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with two (2) years of working on male initiatives is required.
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and internet/e-communications are highly preferred.
