Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating fundraising initiatives, managing donor relationships, and supporting grant writing and development efforts. The role involves organizing events, collaborating with internal teams on project management, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Additionally, the Development Coordinator will assist in writing outreach materials, tracking development metrics, and ensuring successful execution of development strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Writing skills, including the ability to craft compelling content and effectively convey information to stakeholders
- Customer Service and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with donors and the school community
- Experience in Project Management and the ability to coordinate and oversee multiple initiatives effectively
- Knowledge of Fundraising techniques and strategies, and experience in supporting or conducting fundraising campaigns
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Strong understanding of fundraising in urban education or mission-driven organizations
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- 5-10 years of progressive nonprofit development experience
- Demonstrated success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships
- Experience with donor management systems (e.g., Bloomerang, DonorsSearch)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
