What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Crisis Clinician- Per Diem position at COMMUNICARE INC?
CommuniCare is seeking a licensed clinician (LCSW, APRN, or PhD) to provide after-hours, overnight, and weekend mobile crisis services. This role involves conducting psychiatric assessments in the community—often alongside law enforcement—and may include initiating emergency certificates for hospitalization when necessary. Clinicians will attend required trainings, participate in monthly meetings, and complete timely documentation. Strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and experience with adult mental health populations are essential.
- Provide mobile crisis and assessment services for all hours committed to on the monthly schedule;
- Fully complete all on-call clinical documentation and fax forms to the on-call crisis clinician within 2 hours of the mobile visit;
- Must commit to four (4) weekday shifts (5pm-10pm) and two (2) weekend shifts (8:30am-10pm) per month.

Master’s degree in behavioral health field (MSW, Master’s in Nursing or doctorate in clinical psychology preferred).

Significant experience in clinical risk assessment and independent management of clinically complex issues.
