Materials Coordinator
Manufacturing | Inventory Control | Shipping & Logistics
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to support inventory management, material movement, receiving, warehouse operations, and shipping activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment while playing a critical role in ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the flow of materials between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping departments.
- Stage materials, kits, and components to support manufacturing and service operations.
- Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming materials and inventory.
- Support domestic and international shipping activities, including freight coordination and shipment scheduling.
- Prepare shipping documentation, packing slips, bills of lading, labels, and related paperwork.
- Perform cycle counts, inventory transactions, and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to internal teams.
- Maintain organized warehouse operations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
- 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material coordination.
- Experience with inventory control, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions.
- Understanding of shipping procedures, freight carriers, and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
